Women in science

Philip Greenspun penned a great post sometime back, on why academic science careers were unattractive for many. It is worth reading first, before continuing here. He links to this earlier piece here, but also to another blog post about two female identical twins, one of whom is pursuing a career in medicine, the other in chemistry. The post is entitled, ‘identical twins but not identical¬†income’.

FWIW, I do not see that it is all going to be rosy for medics in the following years.

As for Greenspun, I like the anonymous comment : Virtually everything Greenspun says is true.
